Along the way, kids will build fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and confidence while exploring their imagination. After sculpting, their projects will dry for 24 hours, and when they return, they’ll get to paint and decorate their finished masterpieces.

If your schedule doesn’t allow for a multi-week class, this three-hour Saturday workshop offers a flexible and supportive way to work in the stained glass studio.

Come experience the wonder of natural dyeing in this one-day workshop! Learn how to scour and mordant cotton fabric and apply natural color using immersion dyeing techniques.
By the end of the workshop, participants will understand how to properly prepare cotton for the dye bath and create their own natural dye pot. Each student will leave with a beautifully dyed cotton bandana they’ve prepared and dyed during class, along with three additional cotton samples to take home.

3-Dimensional Fruit Painting

In this workshop, students will learn how to create a relief fruit sculpture on canvas using lightweight construction foam and flexible modeling paste. Each participant will select a fruit of their choice—such as a pomegranate, lemon, orange, or similar—and build the raised form using sculpting foam as the core structure.
Students will refine the surface and sculpt dimensional branches using SamanArt Flexible Modeling Paste. They will also learn painting techniques for both the background and the sculpted fruit using acrylics, and will complete their piece with painted leaves to enhance the composition.
By the end of the session, each student will have a fully sculpted and painted 16x20-inch relief artwork ready to take home.

In this workshop, students will use ferns, leaves, and branches (real and fake) to create a variety of botanical gel prints that mimic the look of Christmas trees.
Students will leave with festive prints that could be used on holiday cards, gift bags, wrapping, or tags. The instructor will also provide each student with 4 card blanks and envelopes to print on during class or to take home for future use.
Unlike many traditional printmaking techniques, gel printing has a minimal setup and does not require the use of a press, making it possible to do it from almost anywhere.

In this introductory level class we will begin with learning how to make a simple lampwork bead with "soft glass" (Effetre). After practicing pulling stringer and making dots, we will put everything together to make cute little bee beads! As time permits, everyone may also try out small glass flower presses.

On day two of the workshop, students can cut, collage, and reassemble their prints into finished works for home decor, note cards, journal additions, and more. The only limit is your imagination!
